The harp is one of the world’s oldest and most beautiful instruments. With its elegant shape and rich, shimmering tone, it brings a touch of magic to any piece of music. Modern harps range from small Celtic harps to full concert pedal harps, each offering a wide range of expressive sounds. Students can explore melody, harmony, and rhythm while developing a strong sense of touch and musical sensitivity. Students can start on smaller Celtic harps before moving on to the larger Pedal harp as they progress.

Exam and Recital performances are available to interested students. Participating students require a Harp to practice on at home. Mezzo offers an instrument rental scheme, where harps are available to rent.

We are always happy to work with students who have no desire to complete exams and wish to play piano for pure enjoyment.
